Aims:

Enable candidates to develop:

• An understanding of the basic principles underlying the recording of business transactions.
• The ability to prepare and interpret accounts for sole traders, partnerships, non-trading organisations and limited companies.

• Incomplete Records of a Sole Trader
• Manufacturing Business
• Non-Profit Making Organisations
• The Caluclation and Interpretation of Accounting Ratios

Assessment:

Candidates are assessed by a three hour paper-based examination, consisting of five questions from which the candidate will need to answer all Five questions; Candidates must answer all five questions. The examination will consist of 100 marks. Candidates will be graded: Pass/ Merit/ Distinction or Fail.
